The standalone tools work without a Shopify store. Upload a Rhino .3dm ring and you get:
- a 3D viewer of the ring, in the three metals;
- pictures at the view, metal and background you choose;
- 360° videos of the ring turning;
- STL files for 3D printing;
- AI photos: studio and lifestyle photos made by AI from your ring.
Open them from Standalone tools in your dashboard.
Upload a ring
Click Upload a ring, choose the .3dm file (up to 150 MB) and give it a title. The file is converted in your browser: the .3dm file itself is never uploaded, only the 3D display model and its pictures. See Prepare your .3dm files.
Your rings are the same as your catalog's products: a ring you upload in one place shows in the other.
Pictures, videos and STL files
Open a ring, choose a tab and click Make. Pictures, videos and STL files are made in your browser and downloaded straight away; nothing is sent to our server. A video takes from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on its length and your computer.
STL files are made from the display model, in millimetres or inches. Check the file in your printing software before you print: the report shows its size and whether it's watertight.
AI photos
Choose a style, the kind of piece, a format and a metal, and click Make an AI photo. Your browser makes a picture of the ring and sends only that picture to the image service. The photo shows in the list after a minute or so. Download it, or delete it when you no longer need it. A photo that fails doesn't count.
Limits and plans
Each plan has a number of rings, and pictures, videos, STL files and AI photos each month. The free plan includes one ring, 5 pictures, 1 video, 1 STL and 2 AI photos a month. Bigger plans are billed monthly through PayPal: see Plan & billing in your dashboard, or Pricing.
Monthly allowances start again on the 1st (UTC) and don't carry over. If you downgrade, your rings stay; only new uploads wait.
