How it works
From a Rhino file to a ring that turns.
Drop in the design you already made. The RenderX finds the metal and the stones, lights them in its studio, and hands your gallery a ring shoppers can turn.

Open a product in the app and drop the Rhino file, or paste a Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or Box link.

Turn on the gallery embed in your theme editor. The 3D ring becomes the first slide, next to your photos.

The app embed finds your gallery and puts the 3D ring before your photos. No theme files are edited.
Follows the variant picker
Map an option such as “18k Rose Gold” to a metal, and the ring changes with the shopper’s pick. On Growth and Pro.
Light on the page
Only the ring’s picture loads with the page. The 3D viewer starts a few seconds later, or at the shopper’s first touch.

Auto-rotate, full screen, reset
Auto-rotate when the shopper wants it, a full-screen view, and one tap back to the start. Left alone, the ring moves a little every few seconds, so shoppers see it is 3D.
Save a picture or a 360° video
On Growth and Pro, shoppers can save the view with your watermark in the centre. Your own saves carry no mark, and you can turn shoppers’ saving off.

Which files can I use?
Rhino .3dm files up to 150 MB. Model in millimetres and keep the stones as separate objects; the help center explains how.
Will it slow down my store?
On page load the app adds only a small script and the ring's picture. The 3D viewer loads after the shopper's first interaction, so your Lighthouse score stays within Shopify's limits.
Do I need to edit my theme?
No. Everything runs through a theme app extension: an app embed for the gallery and a block if you prefer to place it yourself. Uninstalling leaves your theme as it was.
Can shoppers download my Rhino file?
No. Shoppers only ever get the display model and pictures, which every web 3D viewer has to send to the browser. Your .3dm is never public.
Can the metal follow my variant picker?
Yes, on Growth and Pro. Map each option value, such as “18k Rose Gold”, to a metal and the ring changes when the shopper picks it.
What happens if I go over my plan?
Existing 3D products keep working; new uploads wait until you upgrade. After a downgrade, the newest products over the limit are hidden from the store, and their files are kept.
