AI Photoshoot turns one plain photo of a piece into catalog-grade product pictures in under a minute. Open Photoshoot in the app (it appears in the menu once it is available for your store).
What to upload
- One clear photo of the piece: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB, at least 600 pixels on its short side. A plain, well-lit photo on a clean background works best; the piece should be sharp and fully in the frame.
- Or click Choose from a product and pick one of your product's images.
- More sides (optional): add up to 3 more photos of the same piece, from the side, the top and the back. The AI uses them together, so it doesn't have to guess what your first photo doesn't show. This matters most for a new angle or a worn picture.
- iPhone photos in HEIC can't be read. Save the photo as JPG first, or set your iPhone to Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible.
The app keeps your piece exactly as it is: the same design, metal, stones and setting. It changes the scene around it.
Keep my piece exactly as photographed (on by default, every style except From my reference): the piece is shown from the same side as one of your photos. It can be moved, turned and sized to fit the scene, and a hand or model is posed to fit it. After the picture is made, the app puts your piece's own stones and setting from your photo back into it, so the design can't change. This works with a photo on a plain light background. If the AI showed the piece from a side your photos don't show, the picture is kept as the AI made it.
An image model can only see what your photos show. To show the piece from another side exactly, add a photo of that side under More sides.
Jewellery type, style and format
Pick the jewellery type (ring, earrings, necklace, pendant, bracelet, bangle, set, anklet, maang tikka, nose pin, brooch or other), then a style (every picture is made to look like a real photograph):
| Style | What you get |
|---|---|
| Studio | A clean white and ivory product shot for your product page |
| Macro | A dramatic close-up on the stones and details |
| Flat lay | Top-down on a styled surface with a few small props |
| Still life | A professional product shot: the piece laid on a travertine table among sculptural studio props, light and airy |
| Dark still life | The piece laid on black marble with brass, crystal and velvet props, under a spotlight |
| Shop display | On a display in a jewellery showroom |
| Modern wear | A contemporary lifestyle picture, the piece worn |
| Luxury editorial | A high-fashion magazine picture, the piece worn against a rich backdrop |
| Evening glam | Night-time glamour (candlelit dinner, gala, Diwali lights), the piece worn |
| Model showcase | A model presents the piece to the camera, face in view, like a brand campaign |
| Detail crop | A close detail of how the piece is made |
| From my reference | Recreates a photo you choose (its framing, angle, pose, background and light) with your piece in place of the jewellery in it |
For From my reference, add your reference photo under the styles. Use only a photo you have the right to use; if it shows a person, you need their permission. Nothing from the reference's own jewellery, logos or text is copied.
Then a format: Catalogue 3:4, Square 1:1, Story 9:16 or Landscape 16:9, and how many variations to make (1 to 4).
Standard and Premium
Standard pictures are 2K and count as 1 photo. Premium pictures (Pro plan) are 4K with finer detail and count as 2 photos.
Your allowance
Each plan includes a number of AI photos every calendar month (UTC): Starter 20, Growth 75, Pro 250. Unused photos don't carry over. Every store gets 2 bonus photos to try it, and we sometimes add more; bonus photos never expire and are used after the month's photos are gone. The line at the top of the page shows what you have left, and the Generate button says how many photos it will use.
A picture that fails is never counted. Deleting a picture doesn't give the photo back.
Your pictures
Each picture shows a before and after slider: drag it, or focus it and use the arrow keys.
- Download the full picture (PNG or JPG, as made) or a WebP copy.
- Add to product puts the picture in the product's images on Shopify. Tick Make it the product's first image to put it first. Your existing images are never changed.
- Delete removes the picture from our server at once.
- Gallery lists every picture you made, with filters.
If a picture fails, the reason is shown with Try again (which uses photos again).
Privacy
Your photos (every side you added, and your reference photo for From my reference) and the written instructions for the style are sent to one image service to make the pictures: Google, OpenAI or Black Forest Labs, named under the upload before you click Generate. Nothing else about your store is sent, and we use these services on terms that keep your photos out of their model training. Your photos and pictures are kept privately until you delete them, and go to your Shopify Files only when you click Add to product. Details are in our privacy policy.
